Keynote Speaker
JIMMY CONRAD
After not being heavily recruited as a youth player and being repeatedly told
that he wasn’t good enough to play professionally, Jimmy had to fight for every opportunity. He was a walk-on at UCLA and didn’t get drafted into Major League Soccer after his senior year but, despite these setbacks, Jimmy persevered to become a 6-time MLS All-Star, MLS Defender Of The Year, and MLS Cup champion!
And because of his success with his club team, his country came calling! Jimmy was invited to his first U.S. Men’s National Team camp in 2005 at the age of 28 and after demonstrating that he was more than capable of holding his own playing with and against some of the best players in the world, Jimmy was selected for the 2006 World Cup team in Germany. He was now representing everyone back home on the world’s biggest stage.
